The CC Royals formed as a team in Autumn of 2011. We were a group of boys who had played Little League, met with some successes, and wanted to continue playing together on the same team. More importantly, we were a group of families who really enjoyed each other’s company, and shared the same set of core values. Our mission was to make the boys better citizens, teach them baseball and life lessons, and to have some fun. We did not actively recruit players and families that we did not know, because our goal was to develop camaraderie and sportsmanship on and off the field, rather than to put together some kind of All-Star team.
The beginning was a little rough on the field, but through hard work and experience, the boys have molded themselves into contenders in every tournament we have entered. In the Spring of 2013, we were first in USSSA points in the entire Commonwealth, with 3 tournament wins and a number of high finishes. Our boys are also a credit to their families and community, and they have drawn praise from opponents and casual observers as young men who show the highest degree of sportsmanship, regardless of whether they win or lose.
